1st shift Direct Hire Toolmaker
Location: Canastota, NY
Pay Range: $24 - $30 per hour, dependent upon experience
Hours: 7a-4pm Monday to Friday

Position Summary:
Kelly is seeking a skilled and experienced Toolmaker with expertise in plastic injection repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to repair molds, fixture devices, and equipment using various machines and techniques. This role requires precision in building designs that meet the required tolerances for each project. The Toolmaker will work both independently and under the direction of senior staff, depending on the scope of the work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose tooling issues and provide effective solutions.
• Repair, perform maintenance, and assist in constructing plastic injection tooling, manufacturing assembly fixtures, and dies.
• Ensure all ISO-required logs are completed accurately and on time, including project time sheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in machining.
• Proficient in utilizing precision measuring instruments.
• Strong math skills for accurate measurement and calculations.
• Independent thinker with the ability to work autonomously when needed.
• Must have personal tools for the role.

Success Factors:

• Basic CNC programming knowledge and capability.
• Journeyman-level experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures (heat and cold) with or without reasonable accommodation.

Performance Standards:

• Proficiency and accuracy of work will be regularly reviewed and must meet high standards of quality and precision.
