What's a typical day as Patient Care Representative? You'll be:
  • Supporting inbound and outbound phone lines for the pharmacy
  • Answering calls, emails, and other requests from patients and healthcare providers while meeting or exceeding service level goals
  • Balancing priorities between inbound calls, responding to emails, and making outbound calls to messages left on voicemail
  • Accurately capturing information and updating systems appropriately
  • Complying with constantly changing program business rules
  • Investigating issues that cannot be resolved immediately and following through until resolution
  • Escalating issues when necessary and providing availability, tracking, and shipping information for patient's medication as needed
  • Assisting with additional duties as directed by Pharmacy Leadership
  • Providing enrollment status updates and scheduling treatments to be sent to patients or healthcare providers
  • Responding to program inquiries and reporting adverse events/product complaints as per standard operating procedures
  • Executing day-to-day operations specific to the assigned program(s) and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess two (2) years of work experience in a customer service or customer-focused role
  • Have one (1) year of work experience in a pharmacy or call center environment
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to provide consistently high-quality service
  • Are empathetic and compassionate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Are well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Are adaptable and flexible, able to adjust to changing situations
  • Can work independently and as a member of a team
  • Have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Associate Degree or technical school training in a related field
  • Two (2) years of work experience in pharmacy/managed care/Medicaid/Medicare/pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturer/insurance/medical office/related field
  • Experience with HIPAA and patient services
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
