Custodial/Janitorial Associate - Pooler, GA

Position: Custodial/Janitorial Associate
Location: Pooler, GA
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Overview:

Join a local warehousing facility in Pooler, GA as a Custodial/Janitorial Associate! This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity with an excellent company.

Main Duties:

• General cleaning of the warehousing facility
• Clean restrooms and mop floors
• Replace paper towels and empty trash cans
• Keep break room clean by mopping, sweeping, and dumping trash cans
• Check warehouse trash cans periodically and maintain outside areas
• Clean offices, dust, sweep, mop floors, empty trash, and vacuum as needed

Requirements:

• Prefer at least 2 years of janitorial/custodial experience
• Ability to adapt in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Ability to train on high-reach lift truck for overhead cleaning
• Must be flexible and able to work any shift/weekends
• Must be a team player
• Ability to train on a floor scrubber and in the safe handling of chemicals such as caustics and acids
• Ability to safely learn to use a pressure washer
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level that facilitates understanding of job terminology
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions
• Ability to work safely and lift 50 lbs, including kneeling, bending over, squatting, stooping, and carrying
• Ability to work in a warm and dusty environment
• Ability to plan and organize to maximize job efficiency
• Ability to work accurately and in a timely manner

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Previous warehousing experience is a plus
