Full Time opportunity in the Chatsworth, CA area for a Configuration Specialist. 
Monday thru Thursday; 7am - 5:30p (Onsite)
Must be familiar with ERP Systems, preferably Epicor
Must have a thorough understanding of SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
5 plus years of recent experience required.
Hourly rate up to $35.00/hr


  BASIC FUNCTION:
Gather and update ERP configurations for design documentation (like drawings, work instructions, routers, etc.). Check and validate drawings prior to releasing to production. The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented in nature, have strong organizational skills and the ability to work with diverse personalities within several departments.
  ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Create part drawings
  • Review ECRs and recommend effective changes
  • Create redlined documents for immediate production support
  • Maintain design development packages for new product
  • Search for suitable prototype samples and part fabrication
  • Pull materials from stock, maintaining traceability
  • Identify component lead times to achieve schedule
  • Identify new components
  • Create bills of material
  • Construct prototype routers
  • Construct production routers
  • New document to prepare for production
  • Write & maintain AS9100 Engineering documentation
  • Order & maintain Design, Drafting & Document Control supplies
  • Identify similar parts & evaluate application of changes
  • Evaluate and initiate changes to routers
  • Incorporate CCB approved document changes
  • Create forms
  • Prepare ECOs to incorporate changes from ECRs, Redlines & production requests
  • Chair, Change Control Board
 
  • Member, Epicor Implementation Team
  • Epicor train for new employees
  • Assign ECO work
  • Create item master records in Epicor (MRP system)
  • Create new Bills of material in Epicor (MRP system)
  • Maintain Bills of material through ECO process in Epicor (MRP system)
  • Control numbering systems
  • Assign part numbers, drawing numbers
  • Maintain original master documentation
  • Verify completeness of documentation
  • Ensure notification of required departments affected by ECO changes
  MINIMUM REQUIREMENT AND/OR SKILLS:  
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Follow-up skills a must.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing field a plus, but not required.
  • Should possess a strong ability to multi- task and a sharp decision maker able to resolve issues and work under minimal supervision.
  • Possess the ability to work and communicate professionally with all levels of staff and management in an ethnically diverse environment and in dealing with different customers.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication. Establish and maintain contact, coordination and liaison with staff members.
  • Must be computer savvy and have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Access, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, PDF, etc.
  • Experience with EPICOR is a plus
  • Able to establish priorities and ensure deadlines are met and must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to manage highly confidential subject matter appropriately.
  • High energy, diligent problem solver, with a strong work ethic.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.
