Description

Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, direct hire opportunity for a Chemical Batch Operator in Plainfield, IN!

Shift: M-F 8am-5pm
Pay: $23-$27/hour


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Batch new products as well as modifications to improve existing formulations.
  • Operate laboratory equipment to perform physical property testing on manufactured liquid products batch adjustments.
  • Verify Manufacturing set-ups and Production bottling line set-ups as required.
  • Carry out product application testing as required to ensure consistent performance of existing products and to assist in the evaluation of prototype formulations.
  • Maintain retain samples.
  • Assist with the disposition of off-spec products, raw materials, chemicals and excess inventory.
  • Become knowledgeable with the hazards associated with the chemicals used, follow safety policy and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments as needed
  • Must be able to read and convert measurements
  • Candidates will be working with high-speed electric mixers, material transfer pumps, tow motors, electronic scales and other equipment and tools. Review and assist with record keeping and documentation

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • ISO experience desirable
  • 1-3 plus years of experience
  • Experience testing consumer cleaning products desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills
