Job Title: Business Process Analyst

 

Position objective:  We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to join the Operational Solutions Team in the Operating Office . The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate strong attention to detail, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have experience translating business rules, practices, processes, and policies into business process documentation. The candidate will work collaboratively with various departments and be responsible for creating, maintaining, and, updating comprehensive documentation of business processes to support optimization and new development. 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Document and maintain detailed business process workflows, process maps, flowcharts, and other visual aids and procedures and guidelines, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), making sure to include inputs, outputs, and utilized resources.
  • Collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to gather and evaluate current business processes and requirements to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Determine where processes are out of alignment with business objectives and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and drive implementation of optimized processes to enhance internal collaboration and efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry standards to ensure documentation is consistent, clear, and easily understood to relevant parties and adheres to standardized QMS and other best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of documentation to reflect changes in processes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on understanding and using process documentation.
  • Monitor success of updated business workflows and provide reports to upper-level management and other stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree required,

·An equivalent combination of education and proven experience in business process documentation or a similar role from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired

 

Experience:

  •  A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in business process documentation, business process mapping or a similar role required.
  • Operations/business excellence experience preferred.
  • ·Experience with technology and systems, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, Visio, MS Project Schedule, JIRA and assessment delivery systems

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication, including presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrate customer service-oriented focus
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and in documentation and process mapping tools and software (e.g., Visio).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  •  Initiative – uses self-starter approach, ability to multi-task, proactively anticipates and acts on information and details needed, willingness and ability to learn
  • Organization – Demonstrated strong prioritization and organization skills, including analytical problem solving
  • Optimization – ability to apply continuous improvement to existing processes and programs, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Experience in supporting an operations business unit or educational assessment organization
  • Agile experience preferred
  • Project Management Certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Salesforce platforms
