Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Boiler Maintenance Tech in University Park, IL. Candidate must have:

  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift certification  
  • Boiler Experience

Salary: $70-73k
Mon-Fri 6am – 3:30pm

Job duties
  • Complete the contractor compliance and scheduled mechanical maintenance and repairs on all facility equipment as required
  • Responsible to perform daily equipment and site inspections as required
  • Responsible to work with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or breakdowns
  • Provide operational guidance and recommendations to ensure equipment operates smoothly to minimize equipment breakdowns
  • Source external vendors to provide various products, tools, and materials for operations; Request quotes, present to the operations manager, request approval to create a purchase order and place order
  • Responsible to be a main contact to schedule and have contractors complete required maintenance and service
  • Escort contractors to specific areas to service equipment within the University Park facility; ensure proper lock out/tag out procedures are followed prior to any service
  • Support maintenance and tote repair with any troubleshooting as it relates to the maintenance of the facility and equipment
  • Delegate various maintenance duties to department to ensure service and repairs are completed in a timely manner
  • To attend any required training necessary for the job.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Lead
  • Comply with policies on hygiene, safety, and quality.
  • Review the specific SDS for all controlled products; use the correct Personal Protective Equipment, how to handle the product, know where to find the information for each controlled product
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, GMP's and HACCP requirements
  • Responsible for following Food Safety and Quality requirements as per Prerequisite programs, HACCP plans, CCP monitoring and SQF code.

Experience/Education needed
  • Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift certification is required
  • Boiler Experience is required
  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting
  • Must have a millwright license or demonstrated experience and certifications
  • Must be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Willing to always work in a dusty and noisy work environment
