Biocompatibility Scientist/Engineer
Kelly Outsourcing Consulting Group (Kelly OCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is seeking a dedicated Biocompatibility Scientist/ Engineer for nine-month engagement with one of our Global medical device clients in Raynham, MA. This is a full-time, fully benefited position offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Job Specifications:
- Location: Raynham, MA or Blue Ash, OH or Warsaw, IN or Palm Beach Gardens, FL or West Chester, PA
- Or Remote
- This role does require you provide your own IT device (laptop)
- Pay Rate: $55-60/hr
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 8AM-5pm Eastern time zone
- Until the end of the year
- Responsibilities: Planning and execution of biological safety evaluations of materials and medical devices according to ISO-10993 and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work with site staff to locate and review existing product documentation in respect to Biocompatibility, Manufacturing Processes, Sterilization, Packaging and/or Cleaning Validation information.
- Understand and identify possible gaps for ISO 10993-1 and support ISO 10993 testing where needed.
- Design, initiate, coordinate, and interpret contract laboratory investigations for biocompatibility testing of medical devices.
- Ensure all testing meets the ISO, FDA, CDRH, and GLP requirements.
- Requirements
- BS in Science or Engineering
- The most important factors are experience with: ISO 10993-1 Medical Device / MedTech
- Biocompatibility Experience in Toxicology would be preferred but not expected ISO 10993-17 working mainly on LCM projects, but likely dabbling into NP1
- 3-5 years of experience
