Join our dynamic team in Torrance, CA as a Field Technical Specialist at one of our largest key accounts in the automotive industry! We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual to support our operations team in delivering top-notch serviceability analysis, technical documentation, and training. You will play a crucial role in onsite inspections, diagnosis, and the repair of challenging vehicles. This position is 100% ONSITE in Torrance, CA
Pay Rate: $40-50/hr. based on experience
Potential Temp-To-Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Up to 50% Travel for this position

- Ensure uptime of 95% or better for your assigned area/zone.
- Provide in-field technical assistance, achieving a fix rate of 95.5% of vehicles on the first visit.
- Conduct Fix on First Visit Assessments to support 3rd-party service partner performance, creating reports and feedback for internal and external teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for 3rd-party technicians to resolve complex issues.
- Document daily activities and provide feedback to the Lead Technician and Head of Service.
- Create Field Quality Reports as necessary.
- Participate in special projects, testing tools, providing feedback, and supporting service engineering data collection.
- Attend training for new models and technologies, performing analysis and creating reports for updated vehicles.
- High School Diploma; ASE certification or relevant certifications preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in a technical role, with a track record in remote diagnostics and repair.
- Experience with ATV or motorcycle repairs
- Must have repair experience, experience with diff types of vehicles
- EV and electrical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in creating repair procedures, SOPs, or similar technical documents.
- Knowledge of micromobility vehicles and delivery platforms preferred.
Experience in diagnosing and repairing CAN-BUS failures and mobile vehicle repair.
Willingness to travel for workshops, market launches, and trade shows.
