Nissan Automotive Vehicle Evaluation & Benchmarking Technician to join our team in Stanfield, Arizona.

Job Description:
The test technician will be responsible for marketability development focused on Nissan vehicles manufactured in North America. This includes a wide-range of responsibilities including performance target setting, subjective vehicle evaluation and marketability assessments of cars, trucks & SUVs. The technician will also need to interact daily with other technicians & engineers throughout the organization in order to be effective in this role.  Success in this role will be measured by efficient test schedule management, test result accuracy & the ability to contribute to Nissan products, ultimately providing value to the customer

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and benchmark vehicles with a high level of sensitivity and customer focus
  • Carrying out static and dynamic tests per Nissan test standards to assess vehicle performance achieves target (Quietness, ride / handling, braking, acceleration, roominess, etc.)
  • Disassemble / retrofit vehicles as needed
  • Document all test results and provide accurate reports
  • Provide weekly status updates within Marketability test team & plan schedule to align with project test demands.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma (or equivalent) is required. Associate degree or some college coursework is preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive repair or development testing or related field;
  • Subjective vehicle evaluation and troubleshooting skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with technicians, engineers & suppliers on a daily basis;
  • Domestic and international travel may be required to conduct testing at remote locations approximately (approximately 20- required).
