Position: Application Development Consultant
* This is a part-time position
1. Project Overview
The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to define the scope, deliverables, timeline, and terms of the engagement for the Application Development Consultant services. The Consultant will work with [Client Name] to design, develop, and implement a custom application that meets the business requirements specified by the Client.
2. Scope of Work
The Application Development Consultant will perform the following tasks and activities:
2.1 Initial Consultation and Requirement Gathering
• Meet with the Client's stakeholders to understand the project objectives, technical requirements, and business needs.
• Document the functional and non-functional requirements for the application.
• Conduct a feasibility analysis to ensure technical and business requirements are achievable within the project constraints.
2.2 System Design and Architecture
• Create a system design and architecture plan based on the gathered requirements.
• Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms for application development.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and UI/UX designs for the application.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
2.3 Application Development
• Develop the application according to the approved design, leveraging the chosen technology stack.
• Implement key features and functionalities as outlined in the requirements document.
• Develop backend services, databases, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Perform unit testing to ensure all components function as expected.
2.4 Integration and Testing
• Integrate the application with existing systems, databases, and third-party services (if applicable).
• Conduct thorough system testing, including functional, performance, security, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide detailed bug reports and resolutions.
• Assist in UAT, making sure the Client's team verifies that the application meets requirements.
2.5 Deployment and Post-Deployment Support
• Deploy the application to the production environment.
• Provide post-deployment support to address any issues that arise during initial usage.
• Monitor the application's performance and resolve any critical issues promptly.
