Kelly Science & Clinical is excited to offer a remarkable opportunity for individuals passionate about animal care and welfare. Partnering with a Global Pharmaceutical Leader, this role involves supporting key functions within the Animal Services Department, Quality Control, and Research and Development. It's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in compliance, care, and research.

Overview:

This role involves assisting with veterinary clinical trials, maintaining equipment, preparing study materials, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. A commitment to animal welfare and attention to detail is essential.

Previous experience in research animal care, particularly with poultry, swine, or other animals, is preferred.

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Permanent (Direct-Hire)
  • Pay Rate: $20/hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Feeding, monitoring, and cleaning animal habitats.
  • Assisting with animal trials in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Operating and maintaining equipment, and organizing materials for trials.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and maintaining accurate records per GLP, GMP, USDA, and company guidelines.
  • Prioritizing animal welfare and adhering to safety protocols.
Experience Required:
  • Animal Care & Husbandry: Hands-on experience with poultry, swine, and other animals.
  • Biosecurity & Biosafety: Familiarity with procedures in a research setting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of GLP/GMP guidelines and USDA regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in animal restraint, tagging, movement, and husbandry techniques.
  • Sample Collection: Experience with blood and tissue sampling, and vaccination techniques.
  • Documentation: Strong record-keeping skills that align with regulatory compliance standards.
  • Additional Expertise: Knowledge of disinfection, equipment maintenance, and clinical study processes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (science-related degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in animal care, particularly with poultry or swine, is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to pass background checks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
