Title: Accounts Payable Admin / Accounts Payable Clerk - Flexible Hours

  • Location: Mansfield, MA
  • Salary: $20 per hour
  • Schedule: Flexible hours with a consistent start time between 7-9 am
  • Duration: Contract, 6+ months
    • At least through the end of the year, with potential for extension or to ne hired on permanently based on business needs and performance.

Perks:

  • Hybrid work arrangement after training, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote (depending on training)
  • Summer hours every other week, with the option to work an extra hour to leave early on Fridays

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position offers flexible hours and the potential for a permanent role based on business needs. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for handling invoices, vendor set up, and document management. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Training will be provided on our ERP system and document management software.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process invoices received via email
  • Organize and categorize invoices in our document management system
  • Verify vendor eligibility for discounts and distribute invoices to the correct folders
  • Assist with the setup of new vendors (approximately 5 per week)
  • Maintain familiarity with W9s and Certificates of Insurance (COI)
  • Assist with occasional document lookups and submissions in the e-doc system
  • Collaborate with the AP lead and team to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related role is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (training on Lawson will be provided)
