The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures. Primary Responsibilities:

• Processing a variety of general ledger entries
• Preparing income and balance sheet statements
• Creating consolidated statements
• Generating various other accounting statements and reports
• Processing, reconciling, and posting corporate VISA card expenses through credit union software
• Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
• Assisting with merger activities and related accounting tasks

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or above in Accounting or related field required
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong background in accounting principles and procedures
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools used within credit unions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
