Kelly is seeking an Accounting Associate to work with our client, a leader in the biotech industry, at their Sunnyvale location on a temporary basis through the end of 2024 with possibility to get extended into the new year. The Accounting Associate will assist with at least two clean-up/digitalization projects in the indirect tax department. Specifically, this role will:
- Support development of customers' tax exemption certificates database including performing review of each document and input data as instructed
- Support sales tax helpdesk to resolve ongoing and backlogged tax issues related to customer invoices and accounts as instructed
- Support other tax projects as required
- Proficient in Excel including use of Pivot tables and lookup functions
- Prior work experience in accounting, finance, or tax preferred but not required
- Experience working in a corporate environment
- Ability to handle large volumes of detailed, repetitive tasks, including reviewing thousands of documents, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Quick learner who can maintain a high level of engagement and motivation even when handling large volumes of tedious and repetitive tasks
