2nd shift Label Inspector
Location: Syracuse
Pay Range: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour DOE!
Position Overview:
The Label Inspector rewinds, inspects, and packages labels to meet customer specifications while ensuring compliance with all internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect labels for defects (e.g., incorrect information, color inaccuracies, count) and ensure corrections.
- Verify job details for accuracy.
- Complete shipping documentation after successful inspections.
- Clean machines and parts used in label production.
- Maintain workstations and machines.
- Perform pre-run and end-run evaluations, completing required paperwork.
- Conduct label count verification.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
- Familiarity with machines, tools, and computers, including repair and maintenance.
- Mathematical skills for measurement and logic applications.
- Effective customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Ability to train, instruct, and measure performance.
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and acute depth perception.
- Ability to identify colors and handle a strobe light (no light sensitivity issues).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
