Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Manager, IS Administration, supports the Information Technology Department with budget, financial, and human resources record keeping and analysis. Has the ability to perform multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with department Directors, Managers and Staff. Performs the purchasing function (quoting and invoicing) for various IS Department Heads. Performs the Human Resources function of on-boarding/off-boarding of IS staff. The incumbent will assist with both capital and operational project analyses to determine opportunities for cost savings, appropriate pacing of initiative spending and proactive predictions for the senior IS administration. Incumbent will support the department's managers and directors in budget, financial, and human resource functions and will give targeted progress reports on performance at regular intervals. The manager will be responsible for assisting in recruitment, development and retention of various IS staff, and will provide policy guidance for all administrative staff of the department. Will also perform other duties as assigned per CIO.

Essential Duties:

  • Demonstrates behaviors in concert with hospital mission, values, policies, & procedures.
  • Assists the Chief Information Officer, IS Directors, IS Managers and staff in the preparation and management of various meetings, reports, supporting materials and as well as contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Prepares reports, charts, graphs and projections that clearly communicate the status of financial, budgetary and human resource functions.
  • Monitors contracts and agreements for potential problems. Advises senior management of potential problems and proposes corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepares invoices and billing statements, and performs reconciliations in order to facilitate the daily provision of various Information Services functions.
  • Develops and maintains an IS on-boarding/off boarding management program for the department for employees and contingent workforce.
  • Develops and maintains a centralized repository for financial, budgetary and human resource information for the department
  • Participates in supervisory, managerial and departmental meetings. Assists the Chief Information Officer with preparing for meetings and with follow-up activities.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that support performance improvement activities.
  • Maintains competence and professional development. Maintains license, certification or registration as required.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Req Bachelor's degree Degree in Business Administration including courses in accounting and financial management, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
  • combination of related education and experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Req 3 years Three years' experience in a position and organization with similar duties and responsibilities.
  • Req Broad knowledge of accounting and financial management principles; accounts payable/receivable procedures; principles of budget development and administration; reconciliation techniques; office computing software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database management and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
