Certification Details
• Certification Requirements: BCLS
• Skillset Preferences: Central line experience, post-op patient assessments, experience with drains (foleys, JP drains, NG tubes)
• Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PC and ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
• Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 depending on staffing

Job Details
• IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
• First Time Travelers Accepted

Job Requirements
• MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS
• TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT

Schedule Information
• Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
• *** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract
• If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the exemption contract

Unit Specific Information
• Unit Information: 2North is a 15 bed, fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit that specializes in a variety of patient populations.
• These populations include: Gynecology-Oncology, Gynecology, Hematology/Oncology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sickle Cell Anemia.
• Nurses will gain learning, experience, and skills with central lines, drains, physical assessments, and medication administration, including chemotherapy upon certification.

Additional Details
• Local travelers with a permanent residence within 50 miles of their assigned IU Health facility, will be offered $15 below the current bill rate.
• If candidates have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package they are eligible to apply
• Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
