    Job Details
  • IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
  • Local rate rule: $15 off the BR. ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate.
  • First-Time Travelers Accepted
  • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
  • Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Unit Information: 3 North is a medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients.
  • We do care for patients who need negative-airflow rooms, so candidates must be fit-tested for an N95 mask or trained on how to use a PAPR device for care of these patients.
  • Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience
  • Level 1 Trauma Experience Preferred
    Schedule Information
  • Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12
  • Call-Ins: If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract. If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract.
  • Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other weekend per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need.
  • Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.

  • Unit Information: 3 North is a medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients.
    Additional Details
  • Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
