Description

We are expanding! Excited to hire five additional Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) to our growing network. Our interdisciplinary team currently supports Pediatric Critical Care at Primary Children's Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with opportunity to soon also provide care at our Primary Children's Gail Miller Campus in Lehi, Utah, a new state-of-the art facility opening in early 2024.

Our Critical Care APPs care for pediatric patients (newborn to early adulthood) in our pediatric intensive care and cardiovascular intensive care units. As the quaternary care center for pediatric care in the Intermountain West, we see a wide variety of the most severely ill and injured patients, with referrals reaching us often from as far away as Anchorage, Alaska. Our APPs work in a collaborative nature with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, while having opportunity to work at the top of their scope of licensure - participating in formulation of plans of care, conducting procedures such as ECMO, intubations, setting chest tubes, placement of mechanical circulatory support devices, among others.

As we provide care 24/7, this APP will be asked to work a rotating schedule including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. During respiratory season, additional shifts may also be available to the provider, dependent on patient volumes and department needs. On occasion, this APP may be asked to support PICU patients at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. No formal call requirements (outside of respiratory season) are anticipated.

Due to the acute and intensive nature of the care we provide, candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience in a pediatric ICU setting to be considered for this role.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and shift differentials available
  • Relocation assistance
  • Student Loan assistance
  • A 501c3 company
  • Full Intermountain benefits package including CME, Employee Assistance Program, Parental Leave and more
