We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis for the Night Shift.

**Position Summary:**
The Medical Technologist (Med Tech) will perform a variety of laboratory tests, provide accurate results, and assist in the diagnostic process, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality laboratory practices.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure quality control measures are adhered to and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed, results obtained, and subsequent actions taken.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new staff and students as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including OSHA and CLIA.
- Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and practices.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from an accredited organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (up to 30 lb).
- Visual acuity for reading laboratory instruments and test results.
