Generations Vibrant Life Coordinator (Activities Assistant)

SUMMARY of Duties

 The Generations Vibrant Life® Coordinator is responsible for organizing, planning, facilitating and directing the overall operations of the Vibrant Life® Department for the Generations/Memory Care in accordance with current standards, guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Generations Program Director to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each Memory Care resident.

1. Primary responsibility is to provide a creative social atmosphere throughout the property (Generations/Memory Care in particular) and promote resident and family participation through regularly scheduled events, activities, special programs and guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions.

2. Work with the Vibrant Life® Director to coordinate, plan, organize, carry-out and attend all special functions and activity programs.

3. Implement the ISL Vibrant Life® Standards in the Generations/Memory Care.

4. Ensure activities and events acknowledge the cultural, religious and ethnic diversity of the Generations/Memory Care residents and their families.

WorkExperience Qualifications

• Must have one (1) year of experience in conducting group activities and be knowledgeable in evaluating residents' needs, supervising other employees and in training volunteers.
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience or the education equivalent in working with and meeting the needs of a senior population with alzheimers/dementia.

Educational Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred, not required
• Ability to speak and read English
