Radiologic Technologist
Inova Health System's Fairfax Hospital is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team supporting X-Ray. This role is full-time, 8:00am-6:30pm Tues- Fri, with holiday and call rotation. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation available for those eligible.

Responsibilities:
- Assists physicians in performing a variety of examinations by using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and/or sterile techniques.
- Recognizes clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and takes appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcomes.
- Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Maintains exposure readings within the "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" limits.
- Demonstrates patient safety in department through the use of side rails, braking mechanisms and patient monitoring.
- Reports, documents and corrects any adverse, unsafe or unusual condition.
- Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
- Ensures that rooms are appropriately stocked with supplies for procedures.
- Troubleshoots equipment effectively and reports equipment to Biomedical Engineering and/or vendors.
- Performs/recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images

Requirements:
- Work schedule: full-time, 8:00am-6:30pm Tues- Fri, with holiday and call rotation
- Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
- Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program. Associates Degree preferred but not required.
- Experience: 2 years combined classroom and clinical training in radiology. Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist/student
- Certification: BLS by the AHA; ARRT within 12 mo of hire
