Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, CI & Engineering, the Sr. Manager, CI, will play a pivotal role in identifying, concepting, leading, and deploying improvement initiatives across our multi-site US DC network for a global ecom customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong improvement background in big box ecommerce and/or retail DC operations. Work Location: This role will need to be within a commutable distance of Frackville, PA, Salt Lake City, UT, or Kenosha, WI. Work Schedule: First Shift - Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (Eastern, Central, or Mountain Time Preferred). Work Travel: Up to 50% - 75% travel or more during a facility start-up. Responsibilities: * Develop, lead, implement, scale, and track improvement initiatives across all aspects of the DC operation * Drive initiatives by leveraging multiple problem-solving frameworks, tools, and methods such as Lean/Six Sigma/Theory of Constraints and traditional industrial engineering * Collaborate with US and global automation in-house experts and as well as vendors to identify, justify, and implement both process/administrative automation (e.g., AI and RPA) and material handling automation that will reduce cost and enhance service performance * Work closely with the customer and internal leaders to leverage system data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement * Oversee and support the deployment of global ID Logistics corporate initiatives, programs, and tools as part of the Core Model and iDeliver * Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in ecom operations, automation, and operational best practices. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track performance. * Ensure the successful start-up of any new operation as a key member of the start-up team * Serve as a back-up operational floor leader and provide support where necessary in the network during peak season * Train the operations team in basic problem-solving frameworks and techniques Why Join Us? * Innovative Environment: Work in a forward-thinking company that values creativity and continuous improvement. * Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a growing organization. * Inclusive Culture: Be part of a diverse team that values respect, collaboration, and inclusivity. * Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $130,000 - $140,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more. #BG #IND123 Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor’s/master’s degree in industrial engineering or related field * 5+ years of experience in management for Continuous Improvement/Industrial Engineering Preferred Qualifications: * 5-10 years relevant experience with high-volume, ecom DC operations * Deep understanding of ecom DC operations, technologies, and industry best practices. * Experience in performing data analysis and leveraging reporting and data insights to drive decisions * Familiarity with DC automation tools and processes, with a vision for leveraging automation in ecommerce operations. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels. * Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
