Description

The Supervisor, Safety and Compliance will oversee training of associates in our operations in accordance with company and customer requirements. The successful candidate will have prior experience interpreting and documenting safety and compliance processes, procedures, and regulations. This individual will be responsible for administration of the training management system as well as creating and conducting training related to safety in a manufacturing and packaging environment, including but not limited to: safety policies, risk mitigation and avoidance, equipment safety and operation, Lock Out Tag Out procedures, etc. Additionally, Safety and Compliance Supervisor will own the management and upkeep of the master document system for operational work instructions, SOPs and job hazard analysis. Safety and Compliance Supervisor Responsibilities: * Responsible for working multiple shifts and observing, coaching and engaging with operators to ensure safety policy execution * Lead team to conduct equipment and system training on an as needed basis for new and existing associates * Track and assist in new hire communications, roundtable discussions and the evaluation process until associate is qualified * Assist with administration of training management system to include: recording, auditing, and conducting training * Assist with the development and implementation of training materials and programs * Observe and check in with new hires to ensure acclimation to equipment within environment * Lead safety committee and drive safety initiatives across plants * Manage master document system for operational work instructions, SOPs, and job hazard analysis * Work with production equipment manufacturers to ensure processes and reflect recommended operating procedures * Work with production systems manufacturers to combine provided training materials into site specific training * Daily engagement with operations supervision and employees to monitor commitment to safe productive work. * Daily oversight of assigned work activity to ensure requirements of all applicable standards are maintained for the safety of all. * Partners with various departments to approve and authorize high risk work through the permitting process. * Maintains safety related records as required. * Leads or participates in incident investigations and communicates incident findings and learning opportunities for all employees and agency staff in our distribution facility. Compensation for fully qualified candidates $65,000 - 75,000 Benefits * Medical, Dental, Vision (1 day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * FSA/HSA programs available * 401K with matching program * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open-Door culture * Experience in risk identification and mitigation with a proven record of reducing incidents and near-misses by measurable percentages. * Minimum 3 years of related experience preferably in a warehouse/transportation environment. * Basic knowledge of standard manufacturing equipment (i.e. forklifts, manual and automated packaging lines). * 100% compliance in safety audits and regulatory inspections, with a strong understanding of industry regulations. * Proficiency in tracking and analyzing safety metrics to drive improvements and meet key performance indicators (KPIs). * Experience in conducting safety audits, implementing corrective actions, and achieving compliance within set timeframes. * Successful management of safety training programs, resulting in improved safety knowledge and reduced workplace incidents. * Expertise in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) process implementation and compliance. * Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS PowerPoint, with advanced presentation and facilitation skills. * Strong communication skills with a focus on fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
