Holyoke Medical Center is a proud 198-bed community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the pioneer valley for over 125 years.# We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care.# Our#laboratory team has an exciting opportunity for a Phlebotomist who believes in our Lab#s Mission Statement of working collaboratively to ensure quality results for every patient every time. Duties include performing blood collection procedures on#outpatients of all ages, including newborns and children. The Phlebotomist#will also be running a small amount of testing onsite, including quality control samples.# Located#at an outpatient location in Enfield, CT. Schedule: M,W,F, 1-5pm. Possibility of expanding hours in the future based on need. Other hours at other sites are available if desired on an as-needed basis. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in the use of computers; reliable transportation; two years of hospital phlebotomy experience including registering patients, or completion of phlebotomy training at an approved school Applicants must have: A passion for caring about a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital lab. A drive for learning new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly growing test menu. A willingness to offer new ideas to the team to help with our culture of continuous improvement.
