The Rehab Supervisor is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by providing exceptional healthcare in a customer friendly environment while managing resources through a team approach. The individual is expected to understand and respond positively to changes present in the health care environment.
Primary Accountabilities
- Provides for staff development through mentoring, continuing education, advancement of responsibilities and peer education as appropriate.
- Achieves scores on the Gallup associate opinion survey reflecting either the top quartile as compared to the Gallup database or above the mean score of the Health First overall aggregate.
- Ensures that documentation meets established standards throughout the area by reviewing records on a regular basis and carrying out appropriate education and counseling of staff members to correct deficiencies.
- Participates in identifying and defining opportunities for improving departmental performance, educating staff with regard to such opportunities, and gathering data for monitoring progress.
- Promotes the Rehab Services department and personal professional development by involvement in hospital, committee, professional association and/or community activities.
- Participates in direct patient care as determined by clinic demand and availability.
- Collaborates with other managers/supervisors to identify and resolve problems, coordinate staffing and maximize departmental effectiveness.
- Contributes to the development of annual budget for area, and achieves financial performance with volume adjusted budget.
- Graduate of an accredited professional program
- Masters degree preferred and a minimum of 3 years experience
- Licensed by the State of Florida
- Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
- Demonstrates ability to conduct meetings and speak in front of groups.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Health Care Administration, including care trends and reimbursement issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value, and service.
