POSITION SUMMARY
To be fully engaged in providing No Harm / Quality, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by contributing to outstanding quality, value and service to the customer by coordinating Associate Wellness programs.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Evaluate and educate associates regarding their illnesses, injuries, and exposures.
- Perform annual Associate Wellness evaluations and update immunizations.
- Ensure associate compliance of N–95 and influenza requirement.
- Coordinate all pre–employment testing, including drug screens, immunizations, and medical history documentation, N95 fit testing and color–blind testing as required.
- Coordinate for–cause drug/alcohol screenings in coordination with the Human Resources Partner.
- Coordinate TB testing, Hepatitis B (as appropriate) and flu shots.
- Coordinate the Hearing/Vision Conservation Program, HAZMAT, hyperbaric physicals.
- Provide Associate Wellness statistics to the Infection Control department for review by the medical staff and the Joint Commission or others as needed.
- Analyze data and trends and make recommendations for improving the health and wellness of Health First associates.
- Research and respond to legal or regulatory programs or changes. Conduct educational programs or activities as appropriate.
- Identifies and implements ways to reduce present and future costs and expenses without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.
- Shows resilience and a positive perspective during stress and the unrelenting changes in today?s health care environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Work Experience:
- Licensure: Active Florida RN or eligible for license.
- Certification: Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
- Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- A working knowledge of computer data entry.
- Current knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, and employee health standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work Experience: Prior experience with Worker?s Compensation, occupational health, safety requirement infection control, wellness programs and health assessments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physically agile.
- May require walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching frequently.
- Medium work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, with or without assistance.
- May require moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders or overhead.
- May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to loud noise.
- May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC Guidelines.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Visual acuity and hand–eye coordination to perform tasks.
- Workspace may vary from open to confined.
- Requires travel to various facilities within county perimeter and requires use of personal vehicle. May require travel outside of county perimeter with use of own personal vehicle.
