The Quality Engineer position will be at the forefront of quality, developing and supporting product quality system improvements, leading efforts to develop, maintain and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities.
Essential Duties:
- Develops and implements control processes and programs
- Develops quality plans and documentation requirements
- Coordinates and prepares First Article Inspection
- Conducts internal and external quality audits in accordance with internal procedures and ISO standards
- Participates in disposition of non-conforming material and performs root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysis
- Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as work instructions, drawings, ISO standards and military specifications
- Aids in the issuance of Corrective Actions both internally and externally
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality related fields; ASQ, CQE or CQT certification desired
- Defense, Aerospace or Automotive experience, SAP, Six-Sigma are a plus
- Three (3) plus years of experience in Quality or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering related fields
- Experience in inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation
- Knowledge of SPC or statistical control and ISO or some form of Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of military specifications is preferred
