Essential Duties:
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other such as engines, enclosures, electrical panels, and related mechanical and electrical components in accordance with specific drawings, schematics, verbal or written instructions
- Assigned to various work stations as production needs require
- Works on a production line where tasks can vary depending on various models of similar units
- Performs advanced level assembly functions which may include: prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within production.
- Installation of components to contract specifications using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment.
- Interprets blueprints, process flow instructions and other written or verbal instructions
- Follows both verbal and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted.
- Adheres to quality and safety standards.
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
- High School diploma or GED preferred. In lieu of diploma, relevant work experience demonstrating the required job skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the job
- 1-3 years industry experience preferred
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, written or verbal instructions
- Calculates figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Identifies defective components and recommend alternative solutions
- Operation of small power tools, other hand tools, computerized and high-pressure equipment
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time
- Eye/hand coordination required, with steady and agile hands to operate equipment and tools
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
