Overall Summary

Responsible for managing a major HDT support facility located near Fort Liberty, NC.  Responsible for the maintenance and repair of demonstration equipment assets and the preparation of items for shipment externally and internally per company requirements. Additionally, provides logistical support to the company and HDT direct sales team.

Primary and Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages a major facility in support of HDT direct sales team
  • Manages and supervises the Demo Stock Technician including scheduling, performance management, customer relations, etc.
  • Communicates directly with regional managers, service and support manager and PLDs for equipment pick tickets and shipment
  • Coordinates and performs maintenance and repairs to demonstration equipment/products as needed
  • Coordinates and expedites product shipments as required
  • Coordinates and determines packaging and labeling requirements including but not limited to: assembling and packing product containers, affixing shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information for cartons, skids or other storage devices in an accurate manner
  • Assures that special customer labeling requirements are met
  • Working knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use
  • Documents and records DOT movement with vehicles over 10,000 ILS. GVRW
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Manages and maintains HDT trailers and company vehicles
  • Directly reports to Service and Support Manager
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • Must be able to travel in support of sales teams equipment demonstrations and trade shows as needed.

 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • May participate in cross-functional teams and work groups

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises Demo Stock Technician

 

Years Experience

Level of Education

Minimum 3 years related work experience

 High school diploma/GED required

  • Former or retired military is a plus

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:

  • Work is accomplished in areas where there is little environmental (heating/cooling) control.
  • The sound level in the work environment may fluctuate due to noises associated with servicing the various product lines
  • Access to operations and manufacturing areas may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, oils, and fluctuations in temperature
