This ten-week paid internship is located in Chicago, IL.

What Are Your Responsibilities?  

This position is responsible for supporting continuous improvement projects by learning and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma) to identify, analyze, and improve processes, products, and services.

  • Coordinating and planning and discovery sessions, root cause analysis, and aiding in the validation of improvement value realization through metrics.

  • Support the organization through improvement initiatives using PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) and Lean Six Sigma approaches.

  • Support internal team operations and improvements including backlog management, data assessment, and process changes.

  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.

  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.

  • Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned

  • responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.

  • Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.

What Do You Need To Be Successful?

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access

  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and make trade-off decisions

  • Experience with or certifications in organizational design, organizational behavior, organizational leadership

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

  • Pursuing Graduate or Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing

  • Preferred: Coursework in operational excellence programs

  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification,

  • Graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

  • Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June – August)

  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (currently, we are not offering this program under OPT or CPT and are not sponsoring work visas for this role)
