BASIC FUNCTION HCSC is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Group Healthcare Management team! This position plans, organizes and conducts research in the field of healthcare and health insurance. Also, conducts health economics research including but not limited to, modeling, reimbursement policy and clinical effectiveness research. Authors' reports, newsletter items, fact sheets and legislative briefing documents on health insurance and healthcare delivery. Supports advocacy and public affairs initiatives. Establishes and maintains relationships with advocates, colleagues and stakeholders inside and outside of government. Serves as a representative on various coalitions, state agency advisory committees and work groups. Provides recommendations and research support for health care and health insurance legislative and regulatory policy development. Supports and actively participates in public health initiatives and coalitions. This role is hybrid/flex and requires three days visibility in-office, working from home the other two days. NOTE: sponsorship is NOT available, relocation assistance will NOT be extended.JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree AND five (5) years of experience in legislative and/or state agency work in the legislative process.
- Experience working with executive personnel.
- Project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Knowledge of State and Local political and legislative processes.
- Verbal and written communication skills to include persuading policymakers; writing, editing, disseminating complex information in a clear, concise manner which is flexible to suit the needs of a diverse constituency.
- Independent judgment skills.
- PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word and internet based legislative tracking programs.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Knowledge of the State Insurance Code
- Juris Doctorate.

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $180,700.00
