Description
The Human Resource Administrator is responsible for maintaining the entire employee life cycle from onboarding to unemployment. Maintains all files and documents ensuring the company remains compliant with all state and federal regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the administration and coordination of electronic employee personnel files adhering to company-wide policies and procedures
- Organizes and maintains confidential files and records
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring accurate completion of new hire paperwork
- Process eligibility requests for internal transfers, promotions, rehires and demotions
- Process changes in employee status including employee transfers, wage changes and employee personal information updates
- Maintain corrective actions and separation documentation for unemployment claims and legal requests
- Answer all requests via multiple communication methods (phone calls, emails, tickets, etc.) for all areas of the organization
- Responsible for completing subpoenas and employee verification requests
- Responsible for maintaining I-9 & E-Verify file integrity
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, printing, photocopying, faxing and mailing in office as needed
- Utilize multiple systems and screens throughout the course of work day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high transaction environment

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in a clerical or administrative role
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a Human Resources role
Skills
- Customer service experience is required
- Experience working with confidential information and data is required
- Experience using an HR System (ADP, UKG, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Workday, etc.) is required, experience with UKG is a plus
- Highly proficient in computer use with multiple systems; data entry proficiency is required
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to work efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Works well with others; is a team player and has strong customer service skills
- Must have a sense of urgency
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

- General office environment requiring ability to: *Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time . *Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone and video conferencing. *Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports. *The ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
