The Creative Arts Therapist functions within the Child Life Department and Audrey Hepburn Children's House offering the arts as a therapeutic modality for pediatric patients and their family members on an inpatient or an outpatient basis.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Appropriate education in creative arts therapy from an accredited creative arts therapy program.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. Master's degree.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
1. Creative Arts Therapy certification by the appropriate creative arts accrediting board within 18 months from date of hire.
Working Conditions:
Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
