• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36
• Primary Location: Gundersen West Union, West Union, Iowa
• Unit Information: 25 – bed Critical Access Hospital. Med/Surg – 20 beds, OB – 4 LDRP, 1 – post-partum/c-section prep.
• Average Daily Census: Med/Surg 8 - 10, majority are skilled care level, OB – average 85 – 90 deliveries per year.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB – (Low risk) 1:1 active labor, 1:2 for early labor, post-partum (couplets) up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence), Med/Surg – up to 1:5 typical is 1:3-4
• Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

Job Requirements
• Minimum Experience: 2yr+ of OB experience
• must have Critical Access Hospital experience, MedSurg experience
• Charting Experience: Epic preferred

Schedule Information
• Shift Requirements: 12hr Day Shifts
• Every other weekend, holiday rotation

Unit Specific Information
• Float Requirements: Will be required to float to like units as need, MedSurg
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: None

Additional Details
• GSA is not guaranteed orientation week
