POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for identifying patients appropriate to current available clinical trials in all departments throughout the Great Falls Clinic. This is accomplished through timely screening of medical records to determine eligibility of patients for open clinical trials; completing all documentation required to enroll patients in accordance with clinical trial protocol; managing all aspects of patient care as it relates to clinical trials; collecting data and submitting all documents to appropriate agencies within established protocols and schedules.
EDUCATION:
Nursing License (BSN preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of clinical research
- Oncology experience (preferred)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BLS required
- Current license as an RN (preferred)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of the concepts of human biology, anatomy/physiology, and chemistry
- Proficient in computer use
- Foundational understanding of medical language and terms
- Ability to work independently
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexible to meet the needs of the department
- Can adapt to an ever-changing workload.
- Phlebotomy skills (preferred)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (preferred)
