Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care partnered in 2022 to operate and expand urgent care services across the Greater Houston area. We currently operate 30 centers, expanding to 34 by the end of 2024. We provide a different type of Urgent Care experience for our dedicated providers who are doing the work they love. Our practice model brings together board-certified Physicians and Advanced Practitioners in innovative treatment centers, with the resources and support of Memorial Hermann behind them. We are the front door to quality connected care providing our community with enhanced access to convenient care and delivering a world-class patient experience.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an Associate Vice President, Medical Operations for our Urgent Care Services, who will be responsible for overseeing the adherence to professional standards for the medical group's employed physicians.

The AVP, Medical Operations- Urgent Care Services will:

• Identify and direct best practice standards including establishing clinical policies, procedures, rules, regulations and methods of operation related to the Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care Network.
• Establish quality metrics and initiate process improvement programs.
• Provide direct patient care as a scheduled provider for the requisite number of hours per pay period as stipulated by leadership Defined by employment contract. 75% Administrative and 25% clinical responsibilities.
• Help develop and support Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Network's strategy to increase exposure and to enhance the image of the Program to health care providers and residents.
• Participate in strategic and operational planning and development of patient education materials and seminars related to Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care Network.
• Work collaboratively with the GoHealth CMO and Market President of the network and the operational team to implement best practice operations for the network.
• Manage and collaborate with Associate Medical Director(s), if applicable, and/or Advance Practitioner Lead(s) in all clinical services for their assigned urgent care centers and geographic region.
• Be primarily responsible for the quality of care and all issues related to the clinical care-givers within their assigned region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Board-certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or combined Medicine/Pediatrics.
• Current Medical Doctor licensure in state of Texas
• Current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

• 10 total years of experience: Five (5) years of recent experience as a clinically practicing physician, Five (5) years of supervisory/physician leadership experience
• Eligible for Memorial Hermann credentialing as a medical staff member
• Strong financial management skills and expertise in change leadership
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Exhibits teamwork skills that facilitate the interchange between multidisciplinary healthcare workers in order to provide quality patient care/outcomes
• Established track record of accomplishments in medical management, particularly involving successful, collaborative work with physicians
• Visionary, entrepreneurial, creative and results-oriented
• Proactive and self-motivated leader who works with little direction
• Able to make complex decisions that are in the best interest of the organization
