Description
Duties:
- Perform mammography exams on patients using specialized imaging equipment
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during the procedure
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
- Review images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Valid certification as a Mammography Technologist
- Proficient in performing mammography exams, including positioning techniques and image acquisition
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to mammography
- Familiarity with other imaging modalities such as CT, ER, PET scan, X-Ray, or Sonography is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and analyze images
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control procedures
