- Job Details
- The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds and anatomy surveys.
- Other duties as assigned.
- - Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific ultrasound procedures. Teach new technicians how to scan.
- - Observe the patient and instruments during procedures, report unusual occurrences and record patient conditions.
- - Prepare room, equipment and materials as needed for patients.
- - Maintain stock supplies.
- - Enter exam procedures into a computer database.
- - Maintain files and filing of patient records.
- - Perform and help with portable ultrasound exams.
- - Consult with perinatologist pertaining to findings to assist in diagnoses.
- - Clean and disinfect ultrasound room and equipment.
- - Consistently meet schedule and quality requirements.
- Job Requirements
- Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
- Additional Details
- Preferred Skills & Experience:
- One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
