Job Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be based in Changi South, Singapore.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Attend day to day part quality issues / MRB reviews.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related quality issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with internal teams, such as Engineering, Procurement / Buyer, Planner, Operation, Logistic to address any supplier-related quality issues.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to identify root causes of quality issues and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Review CAPA effectiveness, ensure no repeating occurrence.
  • Work with IQC team in reviewing incoming parts from suppliers with no defects and ensure quality.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal stakeholders as well as customers.
  • Seek for Continuous Improvement with suppliers; Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in supplier quality processes and systems, lead initiatives to reduce defect rates and improve overall supplier performance & collaborate with suppliers on process improvements and quality control enhancements.
  • Support supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support evaluation and approve new suppliers based on quality performance and capability assessments.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to supplier audits, evaluations, and inspections.
  • Supports supply chain in the selection and qualification of suppliers' parts being procured - FAI (First Article Inspection).
  • Any ad-hoc duty as assigned by Superior.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with minimum 3-4 years of related experience.
  • Requires experience in supplier quality engineering within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and customers.
  • Able to read blueprints and/or drawing standards.
