To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Product Engineer ideally located in Woerden, Netherlands.

Reporting to the Manager Product Engineering, the Product Engineer will lead the product design and verification process of precision mechanical actuators that are suitable for mass production.

What a typical day looks like:

• Support the development of new concept together with the research team.
• Translating project objectives and the concepts offered by Research into product solutions with an optimal price/performance ratio.
• Organizing and coordinating the product design and verification process and supporting the validation process.
• Responsible for overall product documentation. Implementing and optimizing Quality and Engineering excellence tools in the design process such as IATF 16949, SSDD (including DFMEA), Prolaunch and 5S.
• Issuing and following up on partial plans in consultation with the Project Manager involved.
• Regular oral and written reporting regarding activities, project status, product risks and planning.
• Managing Product Designers and Test Engineers within a project.
• Participating in multidisciplinary product development teams and making optimal use of competitive engineering. If necessary, managing a co-development process with suppliers in consultation with SCM and SQE.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• A completed degree in a relevant field such as precise mechanical or mechatronics engineering or Industrial Design with relevant professional experience in a similar position ideally in the Automotive Industry, alternatively Aerospace and MedTech or another regulated environment;
• Leadership experience and knowledge of designing plastics, metals and mass production;
• Ideally some experience with similar technologies like mechanical actuators or developing mechanical or electromechanical parts and components for moving vehicles;
• Comfortable using 3D CAD tools, PTC Creo is preferred, but not a must have;
• Experience with Automotive standards and Quality tools (IATF 16949, DFMEA, etc.);
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
