Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Lead Software Architect located at our Timisoara site at Vox Business Park.

Reporting to the VP for Design, Process and Technology Engineering, the  Lead Software Architect will be responsible for leading automotive embedded software architecture efforts with a focus product security.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Design software architecture for automotive electronics like power electronics products, high performance compute units, EDGE networking and more
  • Support software requirements elicitation and promote best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes and tools at the architecture level
  • Document software architecture and designs in UML tools such as Enterprise Architect
  • Describe architecture designs using several views which include:
    • a static view showing the code structure of the system
    • a dynamic view showing the actions of the system during execution
    • and a deployment view showing how a system is placed on hardware for execution
  • Ensure traceability and consistency of software architecture against software requirements and system architecture design using tools like Polarion.
  • Implement software architecture designs using tools such as Autosar Davinci Configurator/Developer

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Senior experience in automotive software development
  • The ability to work in a global team, strong communication skills and organizational skills as well as a problem solving attitude
  • Senior experience in agile software development for embedded products, where programming languages like C/C++ have been applied, with a strong expertise in ASPICE and Agile (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ideally you have experience with model-based development, auto code generation (MATLAB Simulink) and AUTOSAR development (Microsar, Tresos, Basic & Application SW)
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code and high load systems.
  • Experience in defining system level architecture and design for automotive embedded applications
  • Good hands- on experience with design patterns, OOPs concepts in automotive embedded systems
  • Knowledge of embedded SW development process (full V-cycle), control unit diagnosis and using tools like Bitbucket/Git and JIRA
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools and Microcontroller knowledge
  • Familiar with high performance computing, hypervisor, RTOS like QNX
