Job Summary

Motion Controls international (MCi), a Flex company, is the global market leader in mirror glass and power-folding actuators and is expanding its product portfolio to other Automotive actuation solutions such as Active Aerodynamics & Motor cooling management.

The IT Engineer is providing 1st and 2nd line service desk support for end users, client devices, infrastructure, and meeting rooms. Responsible for installing, enrolling, maintaining, and supporting client devices, infrastructure, and meeting rooms. Supports with improving (new) IT systems, procedures and policies and assists team members on IT activities.

What a typical day looks like:

  • You will support IT end users with client devices, infrastructure, meeting rooms, hardware and software issues by providing 1st line and 2nd line technical support and works with vendors in case of issues;
  • Log, process and keeps track of incidents and requests in the IT service management solution and independently solves these;
  • Create, write, update, and maintain documentation about IT support processes and tasks, for end users;
  • Set up client devices, infrastructure and meeting rooms per IT policy and performs repairs, preventative maintenance or replacement of these devices and infrastructure and meeting rooms if necessary;
  • Install, enroll, align, set up client devices and deploys software for client devices, infrastructure and meeting rooms and matches software to meet user requirements;
  • Register, manage and update client devices, infrastructure and meeting rooms per policy in the asset management solution;
  • Execute, implement, and improve support processes and tasks within company's guidelines;
  • Support and execute business continuity processes and policies;
  • Perform hardware and software changes for client devices, infrastructure, and meeting rooms per the companies IT Change Management Process;
  • Monitor, apply and enforce company IT security policies;
  • Identify, analyze and resolve root causes to problems;
  • Assist IT manager/ Director in audit compliance activities and assists in the executing procurement process;
  • Perform project activities as assigned by the IT Manager/Director under supervision of IT Engineer 3 or IT Manager/Director;
  • Support the IT organizations in IT related activities and performs other IT related duties as assigned by IT Manager/Director.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  •  Typically requires a secondary vocational level or equivalent experience, training or thinking;
  • Typically requires 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of modern client devices, infrastructure, and meeting rooms hardware, software, standards, policies, and procedures;
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English (C1);
  • Has a driver's license (cat. B) to utilize company pool car;
  • Analytical thinking;
  • Customer-oriented;
  • Team player.
