Job SummaryThe Global Mobility Specialist will be based in Bukit Minyak, Penang reporting Global Mobility Director
Responsible for our in-house Malaysia immigration services, engaging extensively with employees, hiring managers, Heads of Department (HOD), HR Business Partners (HRBP), the talent acquisition team, and external immigration vendors. This role is crucial in supporting international relocations and assignments.
Responsibilities:
all phases of the Malaysia pass/visa life cycles from initial application to renewal and cancellation. Malaysia pass/visa includes but not limited to Malaysia employment pass (EP), Professional Visit Pass (PVP), dependent pass (DP), long term social visit pass, etc. Ensure the delivery of high-quality immigration services to all stakeholders.
Timely Applications and Renewals: Ensure that relevant certificates (e.g., JTKSM) and EP/PVP quotas are applied for and renewed promptly.
Decision-Making Support: Facilitate informed decision-making by providing scenario analyses based on factual data and business circumstances.
Legislative Management: Proactively explain and manage the impact of legislative changes on immigration processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Global Mobility Manager/Director to ensure a seamless end-to-end process, maintain up-to-date internal policies and guidelines, and provide consistent advice.
Training and Compliance: Conduct periodic training sessions on immigration compliance for internal stakeholders, including the talent acquisition team and HRBPs
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Bachelor's degree
2-3 years of experience in an immigration-related role, with familiarity in Malaysian immigration legislation, processes, and practices.
Proficient in spoken and written Malay/English/Chinese
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Immediate availability is an advantage.
