Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Facility Director, located in Zhuhai. Reporting to Global/regional Facility function, the Facility Director role involves managing, coordinating, and overseeing various functions for the organization of the facilities. The responsibilities are included in site facility strategic planning, operation and maintenance strategies development, design and standardization, construction project management process development, green energy and sustainability, facility automation and digitalization, construction and fire safety management. And coordinate with related to GOV departments.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Lead organizations to provide an effective and professional facility engineering services to support company business
  • Act as key interface for senior management, production departments and the other supporting functions in the company, and GOV departments.
  • Develop 3 years facility strategic plan • Execute global facility top - down initiatives and KPIs
  • Controls environment, health, and safety, building design, constructions, installations, and maintenance.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Assigns duties for subordinates and examines work for conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Controls CAPEX/expense within budget
  • Coordinates the reportings to senior management, finance, global facilities and other related departments
  • Other duties as assigned. Higher Grades Duty Summary (in addition to performing or overseeing duties listed above, the manager may perform some or all the following additional responsibilities):
  • Conducts effective communications with senior management, production department and the other supporting functions in the company.
  • Evaluates space and facilities capacity and usage
  • Conducts the periodic risk assessment to the building and facilities
  • Plans, budgets, and schedules various facilities modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
  • Develops long range plans, conceptual designs and capital outlay requirements and documentation for various facilities.
  • Formulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts and associated documents.
  • Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and fire safety authorities.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
  • Review the site facilities operations to ensure compliance with government specifications and suitability for occupancy.
  • Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in facility equipment installation, facilities equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversees development and updating of the emergency response plan and ensures site readiness.
  • Oversees facilities safety and training programs, first aid and First Responder program, Lock-out/Tag-out, chemical handling safety, MSDS data sheets, compliance to OSHA and local regulations.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or related
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in facilities engineering or related field, and at least 10 years in manager position
  • Experience in large modern electronics manufacture campus is preferred
  • Knowledge in Industry 4.0 is a plus
  • Familiar with building and facilities, like Architecture and Civil Engineering, HVAC, Electricity, MEP, ventilation, air system, plumbing and drainage and related to facilities majors
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • Hard working and well organized. Prompt in response and willing to serve the company in a professional manner.
  • Enthusiastic and proactive Mature and diligent team player.
