Job SummaryWe are seeking Director, Business Development for CEC (Cloud, Enterprise & Computing) team at Flex. This person will ideally be based in Bangalore (or) Chennai, India, reporting to our Lead for Communications Business Development.
In this role, you will be In-charge of qualifying new customers, developing relationship and business with them as well as existing customers, achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned unipersonal and team targets
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop new strategic alliances with New Logo's that fall within the Communication, Enterprise and Cloud segments.
- Research and recognize customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources were mutually beneficial.
- Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of their technology needs, to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration.
- Ability to position Flex's full Value-Added Service Offering, including: Racks and Enclosures, Coreworks, EMS, Critical Power, Embedded Power, and GSS.
- Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
- Represent Flex Ways of Working when interacting with internal & external contacts.
- Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L, balance sheets, ROI indicators, taking actions to meet customers' needs and Flex targets.
- Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives, and key clients.
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
The experience we're looking to add to our team
- Proven Experience Hunting into new customers.
- Deep understanding of the Communication, Enterprise and Cloud segments within India and ability to utilize existing relationships in India to position the Flex solution and develop significant opportunities
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience working in business development in India / SEA
- Experience working within Manufacturing Industries (EMS / Contract Manufacturing)
- Financial acumen
- Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques and ability to grow a pipeline of business and new logos.
