To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add a Data Scientist Intern located in our Austin, TX site.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the student will assist with various tasks to help identify improvements in the manufacturing process while learning, collaborating and working alongside Program Managers, Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assists Program Management Team with analyzing large datasets to identify trends and patterns in equipment performance.
- Creates visualizations and reports for equipment issues and other meaningful insights.
- Communicates findings to stakeholders and contributes ideas for data-driven solutions.
- Attends team meetings and supports project work as needed.
Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior student pursuing degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or related major
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong data visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI)
- Coursework in database management and/or statistics
- Python, SQL advanced math courses, strongly preferred
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship experience in manufacturing organization a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
