To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a CMF engineer located in Zhuhai.

Reporting to the Sr. manager, the CMF engineer role involves below job responsibilities.  

What a typical day looks like:

1. Responsible for researching the development and trends of user needs, new materials, new processes, colors, and patterns; Based on the company's brand culture and user base, conduct CMF trend analysis, plan future product processes and color directions, and guide product decisions.

2. Based on market and product demand, positioning of user groups, product cost requirements to complete CMF design.
3. According to the definition of CMF design scheme, actively communicate its feasibility with the Mechanical Design, Procurement, Mold, Suppliers, etc. Predict the potential risks that may arise during the production process and seek solutions early on.
4. Responsible for following up on the production process and signing off on appearance criteria samples. Being able to promptly identify and provide solutions for appearance issues that arise during the production process, ensuring the final quality of CMF. Complete the confirmation of CMF mass production sealed samples & color palettes, issuance status, and CMF parts sample approval sheet.

5. Collaborate with the team to complete the CMF Forward Concept Design project and research topic.
6. Strong communication and execution skills, able to transform CMF design from concept to final mass-produced product.

7. Proactively contact new process suppliers and obtain the latest industry information. Develop new materials and processes, evaluate the mass production and cost of new processes, and explore opportunities for the application of new process technologies. Regularly optimize the CMF pre research resource library.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

1. Professional background in industrial design, bachelor's degree or above, with over 5 years of relevant work experience.
2. High design presentation ability, able to clearly and completely express design concepts. Simultaneously possessing a keen observation and reaction speed towards new materials, processes, colors, and patterns, as well as the ability to innovate in CMF design.

3. Rich manufacturing knowledge, in-depth familiarity with product material properties, post-processing, and process flow. Have a certain understanding of basic process costs, including mold design, injection molding, production and processing, material performance, process cost knowledge. Especially have a deep understanding of metal processing and surface treatment processes and can preliminarily judge the process based on physical pictures.
4. Proficient in using CorelDRAW, Photoshop, AI, Keyshot design and rendering software.
5. Having excellent project understanding and the ability to develop project strategies, willing to share project experience, and possessing cross team collaboration skills.

6. Ability to communicate in both written and spoken English.
