Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Assistant Materials Manager located in Port Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah, Johor.
What a typical day looks like:
- Coordinate the purchasing activities from demand loading, Clear to Build (CTB), Assurance of supply (AOS) Mitigations and Customer Order Fulfilment,
- Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line.
- Manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss goals including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory.
- Ensures the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards, affecting quality by assuring that suspicious material is identified, and that material is handled, stored, and delivered properly. Working with SSCM on CRP, SMI, JIT or Split deliveries on reducing inhouse inventory and reducing warehouse space without jeopardize production needs and customer order fulfilment.
- Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through negotiations of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectation.
- Coordinates with customers, purchasing, project managers, operations managers, planning, quality and warehouse managers.
- In charge of accurate inventory cycle counts, and controls. Lead for Physical Inventory count.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems.
- Reviews, plans, and approves purchase orders and change notices.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- In charge of disposition of excess and obsolete materials. Manage and achieve Inventory Turnover (ITO) set.
- Travel as required.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Possesses a Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in the related field is required
